Project 529 – Helping Stop Bike Thieves Through the Bike Community

5/29/2014 : sicklines

Every 30 seconds in the USA a bike is stolen. Project 529 aims to help reduce bike theft with their web/mobile-app that helps bikers identify and locate stolen bikes quickly. In addition to that, they’ve got a petition online for Craigslist and eBay to require serial numbers when bikes are sold on their site.

Yes they do.

Registration is easy and once your bike is registered you can quickly alert local bikers in the event your bike goes missing. The sooner you realize a bike has been stolen the better!

Download their free app now or register at www.project529.com. You can register your bike, become a part of a solution, and learn more about what Project 529 is all about. It’s not what you do in the 9 to 5, but what takes places from 5 to 9!

During the Sea Otter Classic, SRAM also was helping promote Project 529 and allowed registrats to enter into their competition to win various SRAM parts once they registered.

We have a long term vision to rehydrate humanity’s relationship with planet earth. We’re a diverse team with a purpose and a plan who work 9 to 5, but live 529. We share an obsessive pursuit of greatness. We’re striving to build a long-term, sustainable and profitable company, not simply features that we hope some software giant will acquire. And we are starting out by declaring war on bike theft. We hope you join our community.
