Sea Otter 2018 is underway. Inside we’ve got some Park Tool goods, the new Specialized Stumpjumper, Robert Egger’s custom bike, Pivot’s new Switchblade aluminum and more.
Specialized’s new Stumpjumper was front and center at their booth. They even had an original Stumpjumper for people to compare against. Learn more about the new Stumpjumper.
Robert Egger always has interesting things at Sea Otter for Specialized. Last year his bikes were a hit and this year it looks like this one will also draw a bit of attention.
Park Tool has a big presence around Sea Otter this year as usual. They have work stations all around the venue and their main booth setup has everything you need to tune up your bike.
Some of their new products include their DSD-2 JIS standard screwdriver.
Shimano derailleur adjustment screws are JIS and while a phillips will fit, the JIS screwdriver fits perfect. Park Tool makes this screwdriver in the USA and it has some nice knurling on the handle along with an extended shank to make things easier to reach with it. You can see a close up of the tip compared to the standard screwdriver below.
Park Tool is always developing new tools and you can see some of their other new tools below including a SRAM bb tool, updated torque wrench, pressfit removal tools, and more.
Pivot Cycles launched their new Switchblade aluminum as well. The carbon offering was quite popular and comes highly recommended. The end result is an aggressive trail/enduro bike that’s confident, yet nimble, and which truly excels while wearing either 29-inch or 27.5+ wheel and tire combos.
The new Switchblade Aluminum now delivers the same versatility, features and performance in a more affordable package. See more at – http://www.pivotcycles.com/bike/Switchblade-Aluminum
Chris is proud of their latest bike offering. This gives riders a lower cost option to enjoy the Pivot Switchblade.
