ProTaper is well known in the moto industry and Hayes Components had the rebranded mountain bike components on display.
ProTaper has a variety of stems and handlebars new for 2018.
The Aluminum ProTaper handlebar is available in a variety of rises (1/2″,1″,3″, flat) with a 810mm width.
In addition to the aluminum handlebars there are new ProTaper EVO stems. They use T25 torx screws and are available in direct mount, 35 or 31.8 bar clamp, and sizes ranging from 30mm to 50mm.
On the surface, a stem may look simple, but under that beautiful veneer lies hours of 3D modelling, countless FEA revisions, and tons of real-world ride testing. We do all of this to make sure we have a light, stiff stem that can handle tremendous forces from every conceivable angle.
The ProTaper EVO Direct Mount Stem offers 3 positions (30mm,35mm,40mm) and has a 31.8mm bar clamp.
A good bar lineup isn’t complete without a carbon fiber offering and the new ProTaper Carbon ProTaper is offered in 810mm wide with rises (1/2″(31.8mm), 1″(31.8mm),and 1″(35mm).
Additionally there is a 20/20 handlebar (20mm rise, 20mm sweep, 31.8mm bar clamp).
Lastly for ProTaper, the ProTaper EVO pedal is new as well. It is made from 6061 aluminum and has removable traction pins. It has a chromoly spindle with sealed bearings.
TRP brakes have built a quality brake that many riders love. The TRP brakes can be seen on many World Cup downhill racers bikes including Aaron Gwin, YT Mob, and many more.
