The indoor portion of Interbike has kicked off today. You can see some new products from PUSH Industries and Zefal inside for this update.

With Interbike you never know what you’re going to get and there’s often interesting things to see even if they’re not bike related specifically.

Today PUSH Industries released a new ELEVENSIX shock called the ELEVENSIX Micro-XD. It features their exclusive Micro-XD coating for the shock body and shafts which improves durability while reducing friction internally leading to better bump sensitivity. Additionally, they’ve increased their resevoir volune by 11.6% to improve their thermal stability even more.

Pictured below is the lineage of the ELEVENSIX that initially leveraged parts from other shocks into the shock you see all the way to the far right, the ELEVENSIX Mico-XD.

The heart of any shock is the main damping piston. The new ELEVENSIX features a completely redesigned piston with improved flow path and increased port volume giving you the ultimate control without compromise in deep successive bumps.

You can see the new piston (pictured below) compared to the previous ELEVENSIX (older piston is at the top). The area towards the center where the rebound shims sit has been reshaped and machined significantly.  They did this for a variety of reasons including  improved sensitivity, smoother damping, increase suspension pop, help oil flow, and much more.

If you focus on the top XD piston below you can see some of the additional machining that was done to allow the rebound shims to sit on that shelf allowing improved oil flow against the shims that sit on top of that section.  Additionally the (inner and outer )orifice machining has increased quite a bit.

Last year a number of manfuactuers came out with pumps that had a chamber that could be charged with air.  Zefal took things a bit further with this design and the results were impressive in the demo.

The Zefal Tubeless Tank solution works in a few simple steps as outlined below.

Once its up to pressure from a traditional pump, simlply pressing down on the lever releases the air (up to 232PSI) while still allowing you to pump the tire up to the desired PSI while its still connected. MSRP $89.95.

Zefal also has a variety of pumps in their lineup including the ProFilMax FP60 that has a France sourced wood handle.

Protection items are also available from Zefal for your bike including frame protection and Crank Armor in a variety of colors that will fit most cranks out there.
