For 2013 , Specialized also offer the Demo 8 in aluminum as well in various frameset offerings and completes.

The front triangle on the 2013 carbon Demo’s are made out of carbon fiber and the rear triangle is aluminum.

The Carbon Demo 8’s get a carbon front triangle and use an alloy rear end.

Specialized chose to go use aluminum in certain areas of their Carbon Demo 8 in both the head tube and bottom bracket area. This should make removal of bottom bracket cups and headsets easy and worry free.
