For 2013 Specialized has developed a new redesigned Enduro. They’ve revamped the suspension to pedal better for Enduro racers and bumped the travel to 165mm. Learn more in the video below and read the details in the embedded details sheet.
The S-Works Enduro model is carbon fiber, has a Cane Creek Double Barrel Air shock, and comes equipped with SRAM’s XX1 technology. A huge range of gearing out of the 1×11 drivetrain.
Roval Traverse Carbon SL wheels feature a wider footprint compared to their Control series.
All this in a claimed weight of 25.9lbs for the medium S-Works Enduro.
Moving into the SX-Trail’s place this year is a new 180mm Enduro EVO. Watch the video to learn more about the differences between the Enduro and the Enduro EVO. Read the PDF above to learn more about its spec’s. The only common pieces between the EVO and the standard Enduro are the bottom bracket shell and the headtube forging. The rest of the bike is unique to the EVO.
The Stumpjumper EVO line (26″ and 29″) of bikes have been quite the hit with us and numerous other riders. The geometry offered gives riders a more aggressive stance on the trail as they cater to riders looking for a more aggressive bike that can descend and rail corners well.
The EVO’s feature a lowered the bottom bracket, use dropper seatposts, have chainguides, and use shorter stems. While they cater to descending in some fashion they are still very capable of ascending quite well still.
In addtion to the new bikes, they also had some new Tactic II helmets on display. The Tactic has a good bit of rear wrapping protection that Enduro riders are liking a lot.
