A lot of people seem to be jumping on board with 650b and Schwalbe has an option for you if you’re in the market for a tire in this wheel size. The 650b tire they’ve added is in the Nobby Nic family.

Racing Ralph

Schwalbe has also revised the Racing Ralph this year. They’ve updated the tread and have added a transition lug in the tread pattern. It now uses a 127tpi casing as well that yielded a lighter weight tire overall (~30g claimed) and lower rolling resistance.

The Racing Ralph is also available in their GateStar compound, fast rolling center and a softer downhill style compound on the shoulder knobs. Jared Graves influenced this GateStar compound Racing Ralph tire heavily but it can be used for Enduro style riders as well Schwalbe said.

While the Hans Dampf isn’t new, they’ve added a few more sizes and compounds this year. The tire is now available in their PaceStar compound that is geared more towards XC riders and it still is available in their TrailStar compound for those looking for a bit more stickyness out of their tires.  They’ve added a new 29×2.35 Hans Dampf this year as well in both PaceStar and TrailStar compounds.
