Banshee

Spitfire

The Spitfire replaces the Pyre for 2010. It offers a bit more travel at 5″ vs 4.5″ on the Pyre. The suspension has been tuned for a more linear feel. They’ve added some adjustable geometry to the Spitfire by offering two holes in the forward shock mount. The first setting will feel at home on technical XC with a higher BB to give you more clearance and steeper head angle for steep climbs and slow speed tech sections. The slack setting will drop the BB and slacken out the angles to better suit high speed flowy trails, as well as trails with technical steeps where a slacker headangle offers you more control and confidence. The rear end will clear 2.5 tires. It will be available in a couple of build kits with a frame only (with FOX RP23 shock) price of $1500 MSRP.

It will have ISCG 05 tabs for chainguide and HammerSchmidt possibilities. They’ve used internally ribbed stays in the rear with sweep added for comfort while riding.
