Maxxis has released a new Shorty tire and paired the release with a sweet video of Sam Blenkinsop shredding.

Based on feedback from Maxxis’ World Cup DH and Enduro World Series-winning athletes, the second generation Shorty is rebuilt from the ground up. A completely revised tread pattern starts with splitting the “double-wide” single center knob in two, with additional support added to the cornering knobs.

Other changes include a narrower 2.40” width for better mud clearance and reduced weight. Revised siping on the knobs offer better braking and cornering traction and raised ridges on the casing help shed sticky mud.
