Practice Day 1 of the 2018 Pro GRT is in the books. The weather was perfect and made for some great Windrock Bike Park conditions. The turnout has been impressive with the Santa Cruz Syndicate, Madison Saracen team, and many more in attendance.
With all of the shuttles running riders were quickly lifted to the top of the race course.
Windrock has tons of offroad enthusiasts attend daily to play on their massive mountain. Dirt Bikes, quads, modified 4x4s, and side by sides are often seen here.
The Madison Saracen team is looking fast on course. Danny Hart is charging hard and will be a podium threat come race day.
Don’t be surprised if you see team mate Matt Walker or Alex Martin on pace as well.
The Santa Cruz Syndicate’s Greg Minnaar, Loris Vergier, and Luca Shaw here charging hard. Minnaar is getting the course dialed in while Luca has had plenty of time at Windrock already.
The pits and parking are filled to the brim already with the entire Lot A consumed. KHS found a spot for their RV. Look out for Logan Binggeli this weekend as well as he loves this type of terrain.
Charlie Harrison is on the Intense Factory Team this year and is no stranger to Windrock as well. Another podium hopeful to look out for. He’s flying the M29FRO Intense 29er downhill bike.
Red Bull has their massive truck pumping out jams right near the step down. It certainly seems to be pumping fans and riders alike up in this section!
The weather is slowly rolling in and there’s a strong chance of rain for Sunday. Riders are debating seeding strategy as we speak…
Dakotah Norton is blazing fast as well on his Unior Devinci. Need proof?
Stay tuned for more action from Windrock Pro GRT.
