The USA Cycling Pro GRT series traveled to Snowshoe Mountain for the fourth stop in the 2014 season. Neko Mulally (Pro Men), Shane Leslie (Cat 1/JrX), and Lauren Daney (Pro Women) won their respective classes.
Snowshoe Mountain has been holding downhill mountain bike races for some time now. They offer some great amenities for racers and families looking to get away from it all. Typically this venue can be wet / muddy given its geographical location but this race weekend was dry for change. The selected race course had a little bit of everything in it and challenged riders the entire way down the mountain.

Neko Mulally has been a force on the National and International race scene this year. He’s spent a lot of his early developmental years at Snowshoe and he’s quite comfortable here. He would go on to best the Pro Men field by over 8 seconds with a 4:00.47.
Neko was trailing Aaron Gwin and Kevin Aiello in the 2014 Pro GRT series and this win improves his overall Pro GRT position.
Lauren Daney is also no stranger to Snowshoe. She took the win in the Pro Women class with a 5:17.65 besting 2nd place by nearly 17 seconds.
Amanda Batty, Alisson Zimmer, Rae Gandalf and Elinor Wesnor rounded out the top 5 in the Pro Women class.
2014 USA Cycling Junior 17-18 Cat 1 National Champion Shane Leslie has been doing well this year onboard the ODI/Specialized team.
Shane won the Junior X category with a 4:16.08 over a taltented field including teammate Charlie Harrison and SRAM/TLD rider Luca Shaw.
