For over 30 years Troy Lee Designs has made a name for themselves by customizing helmets “For the World’s Fastest Racer’s”. Browsing their Laugna facility highlights this mission statement even more when you consider some of the people Troy Lee Designs has made helmets for. Troy Lee Designs has become more than just an iconic helmet company as time has progressed. They’ve stretched their wings into a variety of other areas including apparel in a variety of action-sports and protection pieces as well. In addition to their competitive-geared lineup, they also offer a casual lineup to compliment those off-the-bike moments in life.

Troy Lee has two locations that you can visit for yourself including this one in Laguna Beach and one in Corona, CA. Opened in November of 2011 this Laguna Beach location is a great place to swing by if you’re in the area.

They’ve amassed quite a few collectible pieces as a result of their presence in action sports. Above, you can see Cole Seely’s Supercross Anaheim 1 clothing on display as well as one of his practice bikes on display.

Troy Lee Designs also has a big TLD branded floor mural that includes some gold metal flake that was produced by some of their painters.  The huge logo extends up onto the main counter in the center of the room.

It is seen as quite an achievement to be affiliated with the Troy Lee Designs brand and in walking through their Laugna Beach location it’s clear Troy Lee is an iconic brand with winning roots.

The Laguna Beach location stores a variety of historic TLD items as well as offering visitors a storefront for some of their products.

Steve Peat has had quite a few signature helmets with Troy Lee Designs over the years. You can see one of Steve Peat’s early custom helmets on display.

There was also a variety of helmets from McGrath, Emig, and MC on display in their recently revamped basement in the Laguna facility.

James Stewart’s TLD branded Seven gear was also on display in the basement along with one of his practice bikes.

On the main floor shoppers can purchase some of the latest offerings from Troy Lee Designs. They’ve got a wide selection of products including mountain bike apparel that you can try on in the store.

Troy Lee Designs also had a big section dedicated to their Steve McQueen offerings.  You can purchase some of the items you see below from their online store as well.

A lot of the items on display were one-off pieces. They often had multiple signatures or messages on them that make them even more special.

You can find many pictures on the walls that help tell the Troy Lee story. The one below is features young Troy Lee with his mom and Dad posing in front of a super charged Model A. There’s even pictures lining the walls inside the dressing rooms.

Troy Lee’s factory moto team ( Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda ) has a big presence in the west-coast 250 lites. Cole Seely, Malcolm Smith, Jessy Nelson and Shane McElrath make up the team for 2014. Cole Seely was able to pull off a win at Anaheim this past weekend for the team.
