2013 Mountain Creek Spring Classic ProGRT Online Registration Now Open
Vernon, NJ – April 8, 2013 – Online registration is now open for 2013 Mountain Creek Spring Classic ProGRT & Super D. In its second year, the Spring Classic is looking to come back bigger and better for 2013 with an increased prize purse, expanded schedule of events and the addition of the Super D discipline. The best local, national and international riders will compete for double points in both the USA Cycling ProGRT Series as well as the Eastern States Cup Series. Riders will test their skills on New Jersey’s finest terrain as they compete more than $10,000 in cash and prizes.
The Mountain Creek Spring Classic marks the 4th stop of the USA Cycling Pro Gravity Tour (ProGRT) and will be held in conjunction with the POC Eastern States Cup series. Winners will earn points in both the USA Cycling ProGRT series and the POC Eastern States Cup Series, with double Eastern States Cup Series points up for grabs as well as the NJ State DH Championship.

This Mountain Creek Spring Classic will give local and regional pro riders a unique opportunity to watch and compete against some of the best national and international riders in the world. “Last year’s race was great and we’re looking to build on that success to make this year’s event even better,” said Hugh Reynolds, the director of marketing and sales at Mountain Creek. “It’s been awesome to see so many of the World Cup guys already confirmed. How often do you get to say that you raced with a World Champion? “For me personally, I can’t wait to watch these guys take on our mountain.”
In addition to all the racing action, Mountain Creek is adding to the festival vibe of this year’s event with a Mountain Bike Movie Night on Saturday Night and Free Kids Race on Sunday. As always, complimentary lift access will be made available to those looking to spectate for the race and event sponsor Pabst Blue Ribbon will keep the good times flowing in the Biergarten all weekend long.
