Tracey and her brother Mick Hannah stormed to victory this past weekend at the Australian National Championship. As a result, Team Hutchinson United Ride walks away with the Pro Men and Pro Women title for 2013. A good start for the team. Video and pictures inside. photos:Tim Bardsley-Smith
This was their first race of the season and what a start! Tracey is back! 7 months ago she broke her femur and now she has won the Australian National title. We are so proud of her. With this boost of motivation Mick threw a crazy fast run and beat Jared Graves, Sam Hill, Chris Kovarik and Troy Brosnan to name a few. The team showed up ready to race and are gearing up for the start of the World Cup season.

4 days of sunny practice and it all came down to a (really) stormy Sunday! The track was completely soaked but surprisingly grippy. It was a pretty intense race for Tracey. She seeded in 2nd on Saturday by only 0.3. She crossed the line with a good time (2:46.53) but with still Caroline to go everything was still possible. A little bit more than 1 minute later Caroline came through with a 2:46.96.

30 minutes later it was the Elites man turn. Guillaume went down the track and despite some good speed in practice ended up in 21th. Fabien finished in 15th position with a big mistake !

5:06pm Mick is now out of the gate and 2:21.3 minutes later he crossed the line with a smashing time (2:21.26)! With Chris Kovarik (2:23.09), Sam Hill (2:23.48) and Jared Graves (2:23.09) still to come, they were unable to beat Mick’s time. Rounding out the top 5 was Troy Brosnan with a 2:23.73. Almost a full two seconds ahead of everyone else, Mick walked away with the victory.
