Five Ten had some new shoes on display this year at Eurobike. The high-top Line King flat pedal shoes as well as some new Freerider VXI shoes that offer more mobility on the pedals through a modified sole design. Check it out inside.
The Line King is a Five Ten shoe that is designed for rider who live the outdoor life. The shoe is flat on the bottom so flat pedal riders, dirt jumper’s, downhiller’s, and casual riders might like this style of shoe.
The Freerider VXI is a new shoe and get some styling queues similar to the Freerider line of Five Ten shoes however it get a new sole.
The new sole as you can see is flat and gives a rider a bit more mobility on the pedals while still providing good grip when its necessary. The VXI sole doesn’t have the same tread pattern that is typically found on the Freerider so mobility should be improved when you want it. We think Dirt Jumpers, or riders who like to shift their feet on the pedals will dig this new 5.10 shoe. It’ll be available in a variety of colors and retail will be $130.00
The Freerider VXi has a new Stealth Contact outsole as well. The shoe is breathable, has an abrasion-resistant upper, and an asymmetrical welt for durability.
If the new VXi isn’t your cup of tea, 5.10 still offers the Freerider, Impact, Karver, and various SPD shoe offerings as well.
