For 2013, MRP has revamped their chainguide range. Check them out inside in addition to their new bling direct-mount chainring that interfaces directly with most SRAM cranks.
MRP have expanded their chainguide options for 2013. The AMG (All Mountain Guide) is aimed at riders who want some bash protection and chain retation but have a Shadow + Shimano or Sram Clutch style derailleur.
The 1x gets a new upper nylon guide that carries over across most all of the new MRP range. It also has a deadening device to reduce chain slap noise where the chain often hits at the pivot point on the upper slider.
The MICRO guide (MICR) offers a bash guard option for riders in a slimmed setup. The modular design gives users the option to remove the bash while still retaining the chainguide’s upper and lower functionality. Ideal for smaller chainrings like the new SRAM XX1 setup.
Optimized for 28-32t chainrings. Available in ISCG, ISCG-05, and BB mount options. Compatible with 8-11speed single ring drivetrains.
The MRP G3 is a new guide for MRP this year.
It has got a carbon backplate option as well for those looking for a light setup.
It is available in a Mini (32-36t) or Mega (36-40t). ISCG, ISCG05, and BB mount. Compatible with 8-11speed drivetrains in black or white.
The G3 guide comes with both a lower pulley style roller as well as a replaceable slider style clip that can be used as well. Both are included with the guide so users can pick to run the slider or the pulley with their system.
The G3 scissors apart and the lower roller and bash are integrated into one piece. This should make for some quick removal for cleaning and service. The lower section is still polycarbonate but they’ve gone to a nylon upper slider as they felt this helps with stiffness and better durability across solvents.
In addition to chainguides, MRP also has relased their Bling Direct Mount Chainrings that you see on all of the cranks above. They’re compatible with SRAM X9 / X0 and Truvativ AKA cranks. Available in a variety of sizes from 28t-36t (even sizes). Compatible with 8-11 speed drivetrains. Weight claims between 53-94g so certainly quite a bit of weights saving considering no spider is necessary.
