2011 Specialized P24

Specialized had their new 24″ P-series bike on display at Sea Otter. For those that like to dirt jump a smaller bike and don’t want to go all the way down to a 20″ bike, this might be your ticket. Check inside for more info.

For 2011 Specialized will still offer their P26 but they’ll also have a P24 and P20 for sale. It should retail for around $500 complete when it’s released towards the end of the year.

The P24 is made out of Reynolds steel sporting a very minimalistic look.  If you’ve ever dirt jumped steel frames, you should know that they can offer a smooth ride and take some of the edge out of of coming up a little bit short and hard landings.

The khaki model on display had 3-piece cranks, tucked brakes, and a variety of other Specialized parts.  Production parts will most likely vary but they’ve done a nice job so far at this early mockup.  Although not installed it looks like this frame has the capability to have a similar chain tensioner system that the current P series uses as well.
