Spy Alloy MX Goggle Review
Goggle Body
SPY Optics designed the body of the Alloy quite well and there wasn’t much that they could change to make them better.

Body Highlights
- The body is soft and flexible. This helps them be more durable and conform to faces of all sizes.
- There’s plenty of ventilation along the sides and foam to prevent any dirt or debris from entering.
- Three layer foam design to help keep sweat away while still maximizing comfort. (Triple layer Isotron “face foam featuring moisture-wicking Dri-Force” fleece)
- The SPY’s have a clean look to them and come in a variety of colors to fit varying rider styles.
- The silicon that is used in the straps to make them stick better to helmets was a solid line of silicon. Even when my helmet got wet, the SPY’s stuck like white on rice.
Some improvements to the goggle body
- There are no prescription inserts available.
- The lenses come out like typical motocross goggles and they aren’t the easiest to take apart if you’re trying to swap lenses quickly.
- There is no rock or nose guard available.
- The inside of the body is black, but some sort of anti-reflecting coating would be a nice addition.
- It would be nice to see the face foam removable to allow for easy cleaning or replacement.
