RockGardn Dawn Patrol Windshirt

The Vision:
It’s probably happened to you more than once if you’ve ridden bikes for any amount of time. The early morning ride that starts off a bit brisk, or the late-afternoon ride that than accidentally extends into dusk. Either way, it can get uncomfortably chilly.
Enter the Rock Gardn Dawn Patrol Windshirt. It’s lightweight and wind-resistant, offering gathered elastic waist and cuffs, and a soft, v-neck knit collar. It has “RockGardn” embroidered beneath the back collar in a clean fashion.

The Product:
RockGardn continues to create some great gear that meets riders needs. The Dawn Patrol Windshirt looks like your average windshirt on the surface but there’s so much more to it.
It features a full-cut upper torso to maximize your range of motion, and 3 zippered pockets: two on the sides, and one on the back that houses the integrated carrying bag. The jacket comes in three different colorways (Charcol, Red, and Blue).

The windshirt has a zippered pocket in the back that the entire jacket folds into and then stores safely on your bike with the integrated high quality buckles.

Improvements:
The jacket fits and feels great and there were only a few things I thought that could be improved.
- If you were wearing the jacket while driving to a location, the buckles in the back of the pack can be an annoyance against your back.
- The elastic on the wrists and waist took some getting used to for me as I usually don’t wear any outerwear with elastic but it helps keep the jacket snug and windproof and it is no longer a thought when I wear it.
- The pack also secures to your bars via two buckles. It stays on there pretty good but can flop backwards on occasion.
Conclusion:
Other than those few points listed above, the jacket is awesome and it’s great not having to freeze in those early morning rides or suffer as soon as the sun rises.
The jacket is pretty rugged and is built to last. Since the jacket attaches to the handlebars, there’s no excuse for not bringing a windjacket on those cool days. Thumbs up to Rock Gardn for creating another fine product.
