Oakley Radar

Sunglass Body:

Oakley designed the Radar body with a lot of experience and it shows. The Radar uses O Matter® frame material and is engineered to withstand the abuse of athletics. The Radar meets all ANSI Z87.1 standards for high-mass and high-velocity impact protection according to Oakley.

The Radar frame features the ability to interchange between other Radar lenses (Path, Pitch, or Range). Changing lenses isn’t quite as easy as the M-frame’s but they aren’t hard and stay in the frame better with this new design.

The frame is flexible yet very durable. Oakley doesn’t use any metal screws in the Radar so you don’t have to worry about making sure the arms get loose and fall off.

The frame is very sleek and features directional airflow to help keep everything cool while still maintaining a great fit.

The frame’s ear pieces are long and hydrophillic. Once you start to sweat, the ear pieces adhere better without becoming gummy or sticky.  The earstems are also shorter which allow for the sunglasses to tuck in behind helmet straps.

The nose piece is similar in that it is hydrophillic. If you’ve had M-frame’s, no longer does the nose piece attach directly to the lens. The nose piece is attached directly to the frame so there’s no longer any chance that the nose piece can move/slip or get crooked. In addition, Radar’s come with two nose pieces to fit an even wider variety of noses and can also help enhance the fit when you’re in the drops of the road bike by putting the glasses in a more optimal position.
