History:

The Product:
The R2O.C.TECH (pronounced arrr squared) mounts to any dropout on a bike or truing stand. It uses a gauge dial to true wheels and disc rotors without the need to remove the wheel. If you’ve seen the Park TS-3, it uses a similar method to true wheels / rotors.
How it works:
The dial can be moved up and down the rod to survey rims or rotors. The beauty in the design is the fact that it connects to a standard 9mm quick release so you do not have to remove your wheel at all. It is designed well enough that it clears downhill tires with ease so you don’t have to take the tires off before truing a wheel.
Paul also sells a 20mm adapter as well as a caliper adapter (that works with Lefty forks, and DH rear wheels that use 10/12mm).
In conjunction with the Drumstix, the R2O.C. TECH helps you true a rotor with ease.
Truing a wheel is also done easily with direct the gauge immediately giving you the stats you need.
The Gauge is sturdy and rolls smoothly on a rotor or rim.
If you want a more grounded solution and have a Park TS-2, Paul also makes dials for it. Building wheels with the dials is easy and rotor’s can be trued just as easily with the rotor dial attached.
Build Quality:
The R2O.C. TECH is built well and strong. The gauge is easy to read and does not feel cheap. The materials used throughout the equipment make it feel sturdy and durable. The design is simple and easy to orient the gauge in every position it’s needed by one simple nut that tightens by hand.
