motionlingo ADEO

Conclusion:
The ADEO is almost perfect. It’s really hard to find any faults with the device and I think it would help any athlete. The few things I came up with that I can see to improve the ADEO would be:
- Button Ergonomics: The buttons are not the easiest buttons to press. Perhaps a jog dial or softer buttons to push would be better.
- Transportation: I use this primarily for riding, so I don’t use the belt. I would like to see an attachment that would let one attach an ipod directly to the ADEO in one piece. They do make another attachment (similar to a belt clip) to attach your ADEO to your waist/belt.
- KLM export - I was told this was in progress but this would allow you to export the GPS data to other application. (Update: As of 3/38/2007 KLM/GPX is now available to export!)
- Multiple LED’s to more easily report status.
- Remote: A wireless remote to attach to a handlebar would be great. Especially if it could control my iPod, and the motionlingo.
- Visual: A way to visually see updates via a screen as well as the audio port.
- GPS: Improved map accuracy (may improve once KLM data can be exported and then imported into different applications).
- Heart rate monitor: Again at this price don’t expect it, but i’m all about all in one electronics
- Blue tooth capability: This would be neat if you could connect via bluetooh and get updates wirelessly to your computer when in range or via a bluetooh headset wirelessly.
The ADEO at $149.95 is an amazing deal when you realize the potential this small 2.1oz device holds. If you’re looking to improve your training and track some of your routes that you exercise on the ADEO can definitely embellish your experiences. The motionlingo team is very receptive and answers questions promptly. It’s nice to know you have someone there to assist you very quickly if you ever have any issues.
