Five Ten Shoes Interbike 2008
Five Ten’s shoes are no doubt one of the top performers in the market. The Impact has been around for a while now receiving accolades from anyone who has tried them. Top pro’s and average joe’s alike wear 5.10’s because of their great sticky Stealth rubber sole and build quality. We agreed with everyone after we got our hands on some and you can read our full thoughts in our past review.

For the coming season Five Ten is revamping the Impact a little with new colorways. The Sam Hill Impact 2 gets a white, green, and black colorway and the Nathan Rennie high top sees a black and red color scheme. Both see updated outside materials that will definitely grab your attention.

Five Ten worked with Chris Kovarik to come up with a new shoe called the Karver. It features a higher inner ankle design for protection against hitting your cranks and a lace cover to keep you laces secure (albeit a little lacking in the appearance department). This was one of our complaints when reviewing the Impact and we’re glad to see the added feature.

The Karver is also available in a ladies version.

Five Ten has also came out with a less aggressive shoe called the Freerider. It features a non-marking Stealth rubber sole with smaller dots like the Stealth Phantom Red seen on the previous released BA51C. It will be available in Grey, Burgundy, and Scribble colorways.

The BA51C 12Line is a more casual oriented shoe that still offers great grip when needed via the Stealth Phantom Red rubber sole.
