Mobile Tool Kit Guide

written by J.V. Nixon

Comprehensive Mobile Tool Kit

So you need something a little more than the lightweight tool kit setup? This kit should be able to help you out. The tools in this kit generally will cost you more money but offer a lot more help in terms of saving you and your buddies.

The comprehensive mobile tool kit we have compiled is enclosed in a the Park BW-1 backpack. You can see our review of the BW-1 here. The backpack is easy to move where it’s needed and is easy to carry due to the big shoulder straps and reinforcing that is done throughout the backpack. While you could use a big toolbox, all the tools here fit perfectly in the backpack and offer a lot more mobility. By using the backpack you don’t have to carry a 100 pound toolbox and everything is easily organized and accessible. None of your tools are going to get smashed or dinged either which is a big plus when you’ve got tools like shock pumps and other fragile items housed inside.

While this comprehensive mobile tool kit doesn’t feature every single tool you could need, you’d be hard pressed to find something it didn’t have that a normal mechanic would have outside of your big tools. In both the light and comprehensive tool kits you want to make sure you have the tools necessary to fix your bike. Substitute and add tools as necessary to either to meet your needs.

Big items:

The purpose of the comprehensive tool kit is meant to be a tool kit that is still mobile and will let you fix most any problem you would have. While it’s not complete with every big tool in a shop, it is effective and should be fine for most people as long as you maintain your bike. Parts can be added/subtracted as need be and if you have specialty tools, don’t forget to include them. Hope you enjoyed seeing these tools and hopefully it helps you out if you decide to build a similar mobile tool kit.
