The horse has already bolted so to speak as I've already thrown down a deposit for a frame set on one of these new beasts.
What do you guys think of the new bikes?

I think it definitely sounds like it will be a good bike for Transition. I haven't looked at the geometry numbers / spec's too much but it looks like it will be a winner. As far as it working as a freeride bike, i have no doubt it will.
As a purebreard downhill race bike, i'd have to check it out. I personally don't mind a little bit of squat under braking, so the floater probably isn't necessary for me as i like some squat to setup for corners, you just can't go locking up the rear end at will.
The 135mm rear spacing should be stiff enough, but 135x12 is usually reserved for smaller duties although Intense and a few others still utilize 135x12 (or at least have that option available)
I'm not sure of the leverage curves either but i'm sure its decent. The cool thing about downhill bikes is that if you're a good rider, as long as the bike doesn't suck, or isn't completely wacked, you can make anything go fast.
