Hi Guys,

I have a Norco 07 Bigfoot, and i have swaped the stock tires (Kenda Nevegal) for Maxxis Swampthings, these tires are nearly impossible to break tread when riding in the wet!, and wanted to know if you guys have any tips regaurding keeping the tread intact for maximum usage:rolleyes:, the tracks i ride at my place are generally wet or damp and have always got sot dirt.

Thanks

Depending on the compound (Maxxis has many compounds , 3c, 42, 40, etc) also plays a big factor in how the tire wears.

Maintaining a decent air pressure, proper braking, will help your tires last. If you've got one of the softer/stickier compounds however though, they won't last too long no matter what you do!

Its a 2 ply DH set, thanks for the advice.

Nice. In addition to it being a 2ply tire, there should be some markings on the tire indicating the tread compound (Slow Rezay, 42a, 40a, 60a, 3c, etc). You picked a good wet weather tire in the swamp thing.
