Brodie Bicycles is proud to announce another first: beginning with the 08 season, we will be showcasing some of the most advanced wheelsets around on our new b_Team bikes. The 2008 cruZado titanium hardtail and the 2008 Mettle b_Team 4" XC dually will be sporting Industry 9's AM wheelsets.
Brodie is one of the first to be speccing these wheels on complete bicycles, and certainly way ahead of the curve in Canada. In our hunt for superlight yet bombproof wheels, we were led straight to Industry 9 for their technical saavy. In their words:
" It's all in the name - a product that has the strength to let you test your limits and the weight to keep you on the trail for hours. While light enough to be raced on any cross-country circuit (1640g), this is no wheel bag race day set. This is true all mountain riding. It's the six hour ride that dishes out a little of everything. From 20lb hardtails to 5" plushies, this could be the ultimate wheelset."
These bikes are super limited edition, once they're gone, they're gone, so make sure you hassle your local shop... And make sure to hassle them about Industry 9 as well.
See you on the trails,
The Brodie Crüe.
About Brodie:
Brodie Bicycles is entering it's 22nd year in the bike industry and it all started with one man, Paul Brodie.
Paul started Brodie Research and Technology in 1986, manufacturing custom steel hardtail mountain bikes. The hard-core mountain bike was a different beast than it is now and Brodie frames and bikes were soon sought after in western Canada and the US, then in Europe. Custom hand-built Brodie frames are still built-to-order for the discerning rider, collector or plain old enthusiast who appreciates the high-performance, long-lasting, comfortable ride of cromoly.
Production of aluminum models started appearing in 1998 . The Holeshot with Easton Rad tubing lit a fire in the biking world as the first free-ride hardtail.
Brodie is a small bicycle company whose staff have varied cycling backgrounds in Cross Country, Downhill, Freeride, Touring/Commuting and Road Racing. As we enter our 22nd year of designing and manufacturing bicycles, the crew at Brodie is proud to continue offering exciting bikes tailored to meet the varying demands and interests of all riders everywhere!

About Industry 9:
First and foremost our wheels are 100% made in our Asheville, NC facility. We outsource rims and bearings...that's it. Design, manufacturing, quality control, sales, assembly, truing and tensioning are all done in house where we can keep close tabs on tolerances and quality. In a time where the bike industry is constantly moving production overseas to increase margins, we firmly believe in keeping our production in house.
