2010 Intense - SlopeStyle Prototype?
Intense always has something up their sleeves when trade show season comes around and this certainly is a fun looking one. Intense has a new bike they’ve been working on that revises the current Slope Style into a shorter travel 951-esque package. Will it keep the Slope Style name or get a new one with it’s new look. A few variations are being tested and it currently has adjustable travel between 6-6.5″. More details as they come in.

how much this bike?
Depends on your location. Contact your local Intense dealer for pricing.
Very much indeed.
*wow this new bike looks stupendous*
Even though the last Slope Style also look wonderful as well.
I really liked how the geometry looked on the older version,
do you know if there is much change in the geometry?
Also will this be able to accept a front derailleur?
I know it read its a prototype so everything is to change but, it looks superbly well built.
Geo is still being sorted out (nothing official) but it seems they’ve kept a lot of the geo the same, slackened it a degree so far (65º), etc. It’s sorta pointless chasing down numbers at this point since the geometry isn’t nailed down 100% yet. A front derailleur option isn’t what they want you to do with this bike plus the seat post is not full length.
basically theyve made the bike alot less versatile.
the only reason i bought the first gen ss was the fact i could put the seatpost up to ride am/trails and then slam it and ride dh.
now you cant do that, sooooooooooo whats the point?
its not a slopestyle bike because its too heavy and has too much travel
and you cant use it as an allrounder, so its just a park bike.
but if i had access to a lift accessed bike park all the time id use a full on dh bike?
designed the bike out of the market?
i think so.
We can think of some places where this bike would be quite fun (Highland Mtb Park, Whistler, etc). Sometimes a full on DH bike isn’t as fun as some of these smaller bikes can be. Certainly they have reduced the appeal to a lot of riders by removing the full seat mast. Those users however could look into the Uzzi which seems geared more towards the up & down. It almost deserves a new name to be honest as it is nothing like the previous slopestyle.
Yeah…they had me for a second there…but they have narrowed the appeal a fair bit( read too slack). Mini DH? Maybe, but the Uzzi fills these specs…between the Tracer and Uzzi? Still, no full seat post or front derailleur. Give it the G3 rear end and come up a degree or so on the HA as well as the SA and it could rock. There are many who are “one biking” it these days. Personally I’d like that to be an Intense but the Uzzi might be too big for a Fox 36 and the tracer too small. Thoughts?
The Uzzi is certainly not too big for a FOX 36. On the Intense builds they often use the 36 and have used dual crowns as well so no issue there. A 36 on a Tracer might be a bit much but i’d lean more towards the Uzzi. The Uzzi is what you’re looking for it seems like.
Hello, im interested in where can you buy those custom colored fox36 fox (like black floats rc2 with black decals etc)
Thnx for your help
i recently bought the white float 36’s. i enquired about getting them in black. they are available but you need to add an extra US$500 to the original float 36 price. dont believe it? call fox.
the van 36 however comes standard in black
the float & van i’m talking about are the 2010 models
Sounds like the reason would be because they are charging you for new lowers (and not a swap). FOX isn’t out there to help you customize your fork. Your best bet would be to find a shop to do the swap who doesn’t mind having an extra set of lowers as they can do it cheaper than $500.
how much does this bike weight???
