O’Neal Element Jersey and Thrasher Shorts

We’re always on the lookout for good riding apparel deals. O’Neal has a variety of racing and riding kit at relatively inexpensive prices. Check inside to find out about their Element jersey and Thrasher shorts.

When it comes to riding kit these days there is a plethora of companies to choose from. Companies are offering the rainbow as far as colorways and designs that sometimes make our eyes hurt. With the variety of styles available we don’t seem to see much variety in price. Much of the product offered today can be found at prices that some find a little hard on the wallet. This is where a few companies like O’Neal come to the rescue offering stylish and durable apparel at less expensive prices. Two fine examples of this are detailed below in O’Neal’s Element Jersey and Thrasher shorts.

Element Jersey

The Element jersey is made of the same traditional synthetic material as other jerseys and comes in a variety of colorways including Red, Grey, Green, Blue, Pink, and our pictured Legacy.

The Element jersey features fade free sublimated graphics and an extended tail. The elbows also feature sewn in padding for extra durability.

It is available in sizes ranging from Small all the way up to XXXX-Large (XXX-Large and XXXX-Large are only available in Grey). We found that the sizing may run a little smaller than normal compared to other companies.

Thrasher Shorts

With the prevalence of more racers wearing pants, shorts seemed to have taken a back seat. The Thrasher shorts from O’Neal, however, are no slouch. They feature many key details that make for a great pair of riding shorts.

The Thrasher shorts have thoughtful construction geared directly towards bike riders. They are constructed using a durable denier fabric with triple stitching in high wear areas. They feature extensive amounts of stretch material where it counts, in the crotch and rear areas. Along the legs on the side the shorts they have large segments of perforated material to help let them breathe.

O’Neal has packed the Thrasher shorts with pockets. 5 total in all (4 zippered and one velcro). This is a welcome feature giving you plenty of places to stash keys, energy bars, and trail maps.

The waist is secured with a ratchet strap and drying loop was added to the back for easy hanging.

The inside of the shorts feature full mesh lining as well as detachable velcro hip pads for extra cushion during a crash.

The Thrasher shorts are available in even sizes from 28 - 38. Colorways include white/red, white/black, and black pinstripe (pictured). We found the waist fit of the shorts to be correct but a bit long in the crotch area. We suggest trying them on at a local dealer for the best fit.
