Spotlight: Giro Score MTB Goggles

Giro Score MTB goggle
Giro has some new goggles in their eyewear lineup called the Score. It features most of the basics of other popular goggles but packs in a few extra features. See inside for more information.
The Score is Giro’s entry into the MTB goggle market. The Score MTB comes in two frame/strap options (one black and one white). Styling is pretty plain outside of the goggle strap and there aren’t many frame color options available at this time but it gives a pretty clean look once mounted up.
The Score comes with a goggle bag, a clear lens, and the goggle body (white in our case).

The Score goggle is a little unique in that its goggle strap is not permantently attached to the body. It not only hinges, but it can also be removed for cleaning / replacing. The strap also features some silocone on the sides to help the goggles stay on the helmet.

There is ample venting around the Score goggle and the foam they’ve chosen feels nice on the face.

Attaching the goggles to our Giro Zombies helmet, it fits quite seamlessly and the hinging straps enabled it to contor quite nicely around the helmet.

The lenses feature tear-off posts and you can purchase tear off’s to mount up should you need them. The lens is their impact-resistant True Sight polycarbonate lens with anti-fog treatment. Currently, there is only one other lens tint (black) available for these goggles.

Hopefully we’ll see more lens development and different body colors/graphics in the near future. Having a wide spectrum of lens tints can help immensly in various conditions.
MSRP:
- $60.00 Score Goggles
- $12.00 Tear Off Pack (10)

Overall the fit and feel of the Score feels quite good and we’ll be trying it out more extensivly in the future. You can purchase these through any Giro Eyewear dealer (see the website for a dealer locater). If you’d like to find out what other MTB products Giro has to offer check out their website.

where can we by those goggles in quebec city
Where do you purchase other Giro goods? Contact Giro and they can help you out. Else , try ebay!
Hey joannie. I’m from quebec also, and I saw some of those at the Sport-expert in Rosemere. I think you should be able to get some in any Sport-Expert in Quebec. Maybe order some..
not bad. but i still prefer the (more expensive) adidas eyewear ID2 goggles. those are awesome and by far the best goggles i’ve ever tried. adidas eyewear offers a very nice ID2 microsite (http://www.adidas.com/Eyewear/hw07/content/id2/id2.asp) where you can get all information on the ID2.
