Spotlight: Revised Gamut P30

Gamut P30 chainguide
Back in April Gamut released their revised P30 chainguide. It features a lighter weight bashring to bring its weight even lower than previous models. Check inside to see how they got the weight so low as well as a link to our previous review of Gamut’s P30 chainguide system.

The Gamut P30 is a single 36 tooth chainring specific chainguide. It is simple to set up and easily adaptable to different types of bikes. It is available in three variations; ISCG, ISCG-05, and a BB mount. Chain retention is provided via a upper slider and lower roller guide.

The revised version of the Gamut P30 uses the same backplate design and chain retention features but now includes a revised bashring. By using a new polycarbonate blend to create the bashring and incorporating weight saving cutaways Gamut was able to lighten the bashring by 28 grams.

Gamut never fails to impress, low weight, easy set up, simple design and durable. I haven’t lost a chain in three years on the same guide. Awsome product awsome cs.
A+++
I have one and it’s great, get it set up right and you’ll love it.
In my opinion, Gamut are the best chainguides avaliable… especially when compared to a lot of the over priced guides out there!
Gamut work, are strong, and light…. erm… yeah, thats my list all ticked!
I can’t figure it out. Why is this guide not on the Socom Build (or the old P30)
Djivotno:
It’s for the same reason that we don’t use the same parts on all of our builds.
We like to diversify our builds for a variety of reasons. We already used the P30 on the Transition Blindside. We have the ability and resources to try out different products for the site. We’re not like a typical consumer where we find one product we like and keep running it forever on every single build.
I’ve just got as P30. I havent fitted it yet, but first thing i’ve noticed is the amazing quality of all the parts. I’ve had both MRP and e13 and the quality beats them easily…. Lets hope it performs just as well.
gamuts are sooo good and easy to fit and work amazing, so much better than any other chain guide!
