Inertia Project FOX 40 Crown

Up on the chopping block this week we’ve got some Inertia Project crowns by Function Bikes. Available in a few variations, the Inertia crowns offer some benefits over stock crowns. They make crowns that fit the Marzocchi 888 as well as the FOX 40. Inside we take a look at the FOX 40 kit.

The Inertia Project crowns are 100% US made in Portland, Oregon. They are available in two versions; a half kit and a full kit. Both kits Function says will fit all FOX 40’s (R & RC2).

Parts are CNC machined from 6061-T6 and have a very nice finish to them.

Price:

Each kit Function Bikes produces is priced very competitively compared to other high end crown or even stem options. Inertia believes in giving you a high quality product without the high price.

Weight:

According to Function, their crowns are a good bit lighter than the stock FOX 40 ones. We’ll get up a full comparison in the full article.
