I’m well stoked for the strong American presence on the podium but as a mountain biker, I was cheering for Graves and felt that he was robbed of his medal. He had been strong all of quarter and semi-finals and was looking good up until the second berm. It’s a bummer for Graves, he always has some questionable luck (ex: last year’s World Champs 4X).

  • PHIL! I AM TOTALLY WITH YOU!!! I was really rooting for Graves. If you go to his website and read his blog, you will find out that he is a TRUE athlete. Very cool about his loss and very positive about the experience. Im definitely even more of a fan now than I was.

BUT, I am disappointed about Kinter - I wanted her to have gold - BUT to see another downhiller take it will definitely do until the next summer games.

  • i’m happy for latvian rider - maris strombergs ;-) and sad for jared graves. :-(

  • Graves always gets screwed. I feel bad for him

  • Kitner is NOT a downhiller! Ann Caro is in a league of her own - male or female from any country. She has won at world level in DH + 4X & now she’s added the first BMX Olympic Gold to her groaning trophy shelf… and at the age of 30 or is it 31… there is hope for us all

  • No one said Jill Kintner (not Kitner) was a downhiller :)

ACC is definitely in a league of her own though.

  • It’s nice to see it again, I completely stopped watching after Graves went down, i was so upset.

  • Mike Day rules…not only did he out perform all the riders consistently but he came home with the Silver!!!!!
