Review: Point One Racing Split Second Direct Mount Stem

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Point Split Second (DM) Stem

Point One Racing has stepped up to the plate and is beginning to produce high quality precision mountain bike components. Engineered and machined in the USA, Point One has the engineering capability to be a big asset to the freeride and gravity enthused riders looking for high end parts.

They have a few products that they’ve got available now (stems and spacers soon) with plans of more to come. Inside we take a look at their Split Second Direct Mount stem that they say is as stiff (and stiffer in most cases) as some of the best stems out there in part due to the wide 55mm clamping on the handlebar.

They have created a cleanly designed stem that is significantly lighter than most every direct mount stem on the market at only 129g. See the review inside.
