Chris Kovarik’s BlkMrkt Mob 4X Spotted at Fontana
Tuesday, March 11th, 2008
Carter Holland caught up with Chris Kovarik at Fontana and had his new 4Cross machine all built up… minus an e13 chain guide for now. Here’s a sneak peak at Chris’ new 22.25″ Mob4X with race inspired geometry, 83mm bb and super wide chain stays for tire and mud clearance. More inside.
The BlkMrkt Mob 4X’s will offer a 12.1″ bottom bracket height, the option for a 68 degress headangle, longer axle slots, cable stops, and ISCG mounts. Stay tuned for a more in depth bike profile…
The Mob 4X will also be added to the BlkMrkt line up for 2009. For now you’ll have to find the Chain Reaction Cycles/ Intense tent to see one in person!

looks good but being it is that Cris rides for CRC/Intense why is he racing on a Blk Mrkt, why not a Intense Tazer or that proto Intense HT?

…i would guess that’s because Nigel Page is team manager and works with CRC which also imports Black Market.

Yea as Matt says, its not that strange if you know the details. He’s not on the intense factory team, so as such they don’t have to run the intense hardtails.
Additionally, the CRC team didn’t have to pick Intense for their DH bikes. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to switch next year if a better deal comes along.
Their team is looking poised to take some cake this year.
