Kona Wah Wah Pedals

Monday, February 18th, 2008

Kona’s got some new pedals this year called the Wah Wah’s. They’re perhaps Kona’s best pedal to date. So far these pedals are pretty impressive and have held up great. Check out some of the details inside on Kona’s thin concave Wah Wah pedals.

The Wah Wah’s are thin pedals and have a nice big platform for your feet to rest on at ~95mm width/length. These pedals are very similar to the Dorcus pedals and the design of those pedals are quite good. They only install with a 6mm allen wrench and look pretty clean since there’s not a pedal wrench slot.

The pedals have 10 pins per side and can be customized to your preferences. The stock pins stick up 3.4mm from the body and so far have provided a pretty decent amount of grip. Should you need to replace a bent pin, it’s best to cut the bent head cleanly off first so as not to damage the pedal body/threads before removal.

The pedals are concave and have a very low 17mm height. The body overall is quite open and has a good mud shedding design.

We’ll be trying these pedals out more as the year goes on, so look for a more comprehensive test later on. So far these pedals are solid and work great.

MSRP on these pedals are priced at $80 each and you can get them directly on Kona’s website.

I’ve been rocking the Wah Wahs for a few months and they’re holding up well. They feel great with the large platform and low profile. Nice weight too.

Been running these pedals for a few months now and would say they’re the best I’ve run. Very grippy, big platform, excellent mud shedding, and thin - what more could you ask for!

  5. dan Says:

  6. Ross Says:

Is that weight for both pedals or just one?
