FRO Neck Protect

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Descent World has a writeup on the FRO Neck Protect. Danny Hart has been on one as well as a few other riders. He has a writeup of it on his page. Seems similar in function to the Leatt Brace that many downhillers will be sporting this year including Cedric Gracia to help reduce the chances of neck injury like many have suffered before (Tara Llanes, Vanessa Quinn, and more).

Seems like a really great idea! Keepin peoples necks and back free of breaks is always a good idea.

Will these neck braces work with the not-so- cool-anymore upper body armor? Looks like there might be a fit issue?

I know with the Leatt, it works with most armor. I know RockGardn makes compatible ones off the top of my head. Shouldn’t be hard to ask the manuf if it does/does not.  Also you need to make sure your helmet will work with it.

its a great idea, im a fro rider and run one for freeride and its a great bit of kit, if you run a full face you should think about running a neck brace, more designs are on the way,#

    thks for the link, elbry.

hmmm…does any1 have any opinions on the rockgardn neckroll? or is it similar to the dangers of donuts too?

keen on the fro, but there has been some discussion on its poor durability in other forums
