Wow, that’s a beautiful bike! Thanks for all the info on how to shave weight without cutting corners. Definitely a cool writeup
So who won the guessing contest???
Sweet, can I borrow it for a weekend? I like all your details about the wheels and how important they are. Often overlooked.
Guessing contest was on a different bike no?
Yeah you’re thinking of the Socom build.
Lovely build!
Great read too, some useful info there
Chris
sweet build except for the nokon gear cable it just does not work in the real world on a full suspension as it ghost shifts when the suspension goes through the travel
Maybe if you have it setup wrong but Nokon works on full suspension bikes quite well because it can conform better around tight areas.
did u actually weigh the bike complete because you didn’t include grease in your weight list, often overlooked
That is a very nice build and looks very ’sick’. great tip on the wheelset, i myself have overlooked that in my research for my next wheelset. How long did you have to wait for the I9s, because im guessing they were what kept it delayed?
Cheers Tom
We’ve had the I9s for awhile actually, don’t worry about why it was delayed, its still awesome
I have upgrade my blindside as follow your comment, but still heavy. How to reduce the wieght ? see pict http://www.sepedaku.com/index.php?topic=8086.0
The bad news, it was 3 months riding , the upper link bearing was shaky
Not sure i’m following your build really or how it compares to this one. This wasn’t designed to be the lightest blindside we could build.
Great build!
I’m using yours as my baseline. Mine is at ~39lbs for a Large Judge with a Totem 2-Step. (all weight verified)
Just waiting for the shock to return ‘pushed” to post a picture…ahhh, and a wide bar…
Cheers!!
The brake lines look white, are they? The Hel site doesn’t show white as an option.
Yes they are white, HEL makes white as well.
http://www.ChainReactionCycles.com sells a kit I saw if you’re looking for a set of white ones.
Thanks for the info, guys.
nice transition. great biuld as well to the guys at sicklines ho biult it up for us to see
hi, sick build, just wandering how much you guys paid for the industry nine goodies??
thanks
