2008 661 Descend and Raji Gloves

SixSixOne makes a lot of products and their protection equipment makes up a good portion of that. Jason sent along some of their 2008 gloves for us to check out so we snapped some pictures and gave some initial impressions on these gloves inside.

For 2008 The Descend glove features include:
- Full coverage hard-core riding glove
- Ultimate protection with internal molded EVA and external direct molded TPR armor.
- Tough, synthetic leather and mesh construction.
- Synthetic leather palm stays soft and plyable, even after washing.
- Fingertip grippers.
- Machine washable.

The Descend gloves felt good so far but the 661 logo could be a bit more pliable to increase mobility in the gloves.

- Ultra lightweight full coverage glove with vented mesh back and ultra thin palm.
- Streamlined pull on cuff design.
- Thin, ventilated mesh back and fingers.
- Thin, tactile palm.

If you’re a racer, you should check out these gloves. They breathe very well and offer just that little bit of protection. Its got a very light feel and feel almost like riding without gloves.

I am loving the garish retro colours of the new descends. Either these or the Nytrates are in my future
I’d like to see some double stitching where the thumb meets the palm though. It’s always the first spot to blow out

yer the 2008 raji’s are sweet gloves but i only have one problem with mine. that is that the grippers on the 2 fingers with them on have already peeled off and i haven’t even had them a month yet! i have had other pairs of 661 gloves and this problem has not occured on any of them.
