Highland Mountain Bike Park Video Competition December 8th
Thursday, November 1st, 2007The Video Contest Party presented by Highland Mountain Bike Park is calling for submissions and challenging the participants to wow us with their best 7 minute or less mountain bike film.
Our judging panel will choose 10 Finalists, which will get narrowed down at the party. The overall winners will take home some serious prize action and launch a possible career in the world of action sports media!
Our judging panel features a diverse consortium of critics who will decide who has “the skills to pay the billsâ€.
Notables include:
- Emmy Winning Producer Don Hampton of DH Productions
- Carter Davidson - Film expert known for his work with National Geographic and Egan Entertainment.
- Highland Pro Rider and Jump Designer Extraordinaire Dave Smutok
- Along with your Hosts Mark, Will, and Dennis
- Co-organizers Skye Nacel of Sinister Bikes / Perpetualmocean
- Glen Davis of Busted Spoke.
The night of the party should be incredible! There will be amazing prizes, swag, food, and bar and of course, live music! A $5 donation at the door will be asked with the proceeds all directly going to the “Tara Llanes, Heart of a Champion Road to Recovery Fundâ€.
Prize Categories Include:
- Peer / Critic Category – Peers and the Consortium of Critics vote for the winner that will walk away with:
- Sinister Ridge Frame
- Video to be included in bonus DVD of DH productions Latitudes.
- Peoples Choice- The Audience will be the Judge on this one
- 2008 Highland Mountain Bike Park Pass
- Win Prizes for “Best Crash†and “Best Sequenceâ€
Door’s open Saturday December 8th at 6 PM and the first movie is slated to go on at 6:45 PM with awards at 9 PM. Band begins at 9:30 PM and the party will go on until they make us shut it down!
Submission Guidelines:
All submissions must be received by no later than Wednesday December 5th at 12 pm and mailed to:

Format- All submissions must be in DVD Video or on a DVD in its native format.
Submissions WILL NOT BE RETURNED via mail but may be picked up at the event.
The time limit for submissions shall be no longer than 7 minutes and 1 second and only one submission will be allowed per contestant.
This is a mountain bike video contest so footage should reflect that.
All finalists agree that the footage can be used by HMBP, and DH productions for promotional purposes.
