4x bike looks good
Something fishy though, the wildcard in 5 inch mode has a lower bottom bracket then the 3.5 inch 4x bike, whats up with that??
Prices are a bit steep as well, especially compared to the corsair konig at $300 to $400US cheaper………..

For a start the 4X bike is 100mm travel so more like 4″ travel. Also the BB height on the Wildcard in 5″ mode is higher than the Rampant, I’m not sure what makes you think otherwise? maybe just the camera angle?

Since you’ve been able to spend some time on the BottleRocket, how did the Wildcard generally compare in fit & feel?

I only got one run in on the wildcard so I didn’t get a ton of time in on it.
The Totem on the front was higher as well than the 66SL Ata (adjustable).
It felt pretty similar geometry wise (slacker) (i also only rode it in 6.5″ mode), not quite as easy to pull up, felt a little stabler at higher speeds / steeps.
It was a pretty easy bike to jump on and rip down bootleg. The rear end of the wildcard was stiff and easy to toss around.
To really compare i’d have to have both bikes again and run them back to back.
They really did a good job on the wildcard.

Keith, they are the figures they quote on their blog.

Hey Matt,
I wrote the blog, and designed the bikes, trust me the rampant BB height is lower.
and unless I have missed something I am pretty sure the blog is also correct:
BB height:
Rampant (100mm travel) = 330mm
Wildcard (in 5″ setting) = 13.5″ (342mm)
please let me know if I have made a type somewhere on the blog, I’m sorry if I have.
Thanks,
Keith
