I love the big push for lower leverage ratio.
I think I am in love with the maelstrom! it’s just so perfect
any links or pics to one built up?

just need that FOX 10.5 shock to come out…
but yea, its nice to see lower leverage bikes.
I haven’t seen a fully built one yet.. soon hopefully

Any idea what the weight is on that beauty?
It looks like that has the same shock as the new M6.

Yep, it is a 10.5 i2i shock like the new M6.
Not sure on the weight yet.

interesting… its exactly 2:1 ratio if the “claimed” travel is accurate. funny how its all the “small” frame mfg’s that are going the low lev route. this may affect how soon it is before we see the likes of fox offering 10.5″ x 3.5″ shocks. hope not!

The Main Pivot location is also quite different from other single pivots. Looks like it would have a tighter arc on the axle path, but I’m not sure how the location would affect pedaling.

Joey, keep in mind it comes with an idler pulley as well.
The use of an idler pulley should make for a big contribution toward neutralizing and controlling chain growth and chain induced suspension squat.

That big box on the upper part of the swingarm will house an idler pulley that will be able to move side to side, so you can run a front derailleur and two chainrings.

so that’s where they hid the pulley, I thought so
It would be nice to see more 3.5″ shocks, but manufacturers are going to have to get pretty creative cramming them inside the triangles

is this a high-rear-single pivot design? like the original GT FS bike?
I thought pedal kick back on those was crippling.
i’m also not so sure about their use of idler pulleys. trek owns a patent on that…
this should all shake out to be very interesting…
