Review: Helly Hansen Jaeger Shoe
Wednesday, August 15th, 2007
The Jaeger shoe was designed by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. Helly Hansen created this shoe in order to offer riders a superior choice in the market and separate itself from many of its competitors. Helly Hansen used their knowledge and experience from developing gear for other extreme environments and disciplines to create the Jaeger.
To find out more about the Jaeger and whether or not it might be a shoe for you, read the review.

Good review, they do look quite hot, sweaty. and *very* European, so they won’t be cool for a couple years in North America yet
How do they compare vs 5.10s?

In all honesty I haven’t had the fortune of getting to try out the 5.10’s. I won’t even try to compare them. Just by looking at the features there is a quite a bit of difference between the two. Which personally I think the Jaeger’s win on.
I don’t think too many, if any, would complain about the traction available from the Jaeger’s but I cannot compare this to the Stealth rubber used on the 5.10’s. I’d still like to try to get my hands on a pair of 5.10’s to make a final conclusion.

you’ll change your opinion as soon as you tried the 5.10

We’ll see. I don’t doubt the 5.10 sticky compound being nice. I don’t like the look of the 5.10’s as much for sure and I enjoy having the lace closure.
