DIRT Issue #65
Friday, July 27th, 2007So if you haven’t read Dirt, you need to. Dirt is one of my favorite bike magazines and recently the store stopped carrying it so I had to get my fix another way. Solution? Subscription.
Dirt used to not print every month, but every other month but now they’re killing it with a magazine every month and the content is just as solid. Dirt is a UK based magazine that has got possibly the best reading for anyone interested in Downhilling.
Dirt now offers subscriptions and they ship in a nice white packing so all the Dirt goodness is preserved. It boils down to a mere $5 USD a magazine and you get a free tshirt with the subscription. It only took 2 weeks before the issue showed up.
In Issue #65 there’s a ton of great East Cost coverage that often gets overshadowed by other locations as well as information on Craig @ Avalance, Frank the welder, Dave Weagle, Mickey who runs Spooky now, Sam Hill’s stellar mud run at the UCI Champery downhill race, the 1.04 track, mega avalanche bike builds, and much much more.
There’s few ads, and its just pure golden content. Pick it up if you want a good read.
I asked Dirt to share a few teasers with you guys so here it is

Sam Hill, demolishing the Champery course

Mickey - New man behind Spooky

East coast riding defined
So there you have it, go pick it up off the stands, or Subscribe and get it delivered to ya. Issue 66, is just around the corner and I can’t wait.

Yea, it was at his personal pump track and the likely hood of crashing was very minimal.
It was sweltering hot during the U.S. Open so i’m sure that’s part of the reason he’s not wearing one.
Its ultimately his choice to wear a helmet, and he was wearing it in every single other picture. I guess Dirt could’ve used a different picture but i didn’t find it that annoying as I knew what the scenario was.

These issues come out to about $8 each here in the US for a subscription; maybe worth it though!
