If you’re looking for some new riding clothes that are designed to work better while riding, Brad at Spectrum Techwear has some great products that work excellent while riding. The problem with a lot of clothes and moto gear is that it isn’t designed for mountain bike use and it shows.

Brad tackles a lot of common problems i’ve found with using conventional or motocross clothing when biking. I’ve been beating on this stuff for a good bit now, check it out.

I got a few things from Brad that i’ll tell you more about below. He’s got even more goodies that you can call and ask him about or check out his website for more information.

The Gunslinger Shorts

The Gunslingers are some really innovative pair of riding shorts. These were designed to not only last, but work with you while riding. The pictures show them being lighter than they really are as they were taken outside.

The pocket system he has used is one that many people can take a page out of. The rear pockets are accessed from the same location the front pockets are and are more of a side pocket than a rear pocket. This mean that you won’t be sitting on your wallet, keys, or cell phone. There are also cargo pockets on each side for more storage.

The crotch area is made to work while you’re riding. Unlike conventional shorts or jeans that bulk up or pinch when you’re seated pedaling, these shorts don’t! It’s really something you have to experience to truly appreciate. The material is strong yet breathable and vents very well.

The shorts are double stitched and are very durable. The cotton material he uses is great and have held up to my wear, tear, and crashes perfectly. The shorts are great for dirt jumping, downhilling, and whatever else you might need a set of shorts for.

These are some of the most comfortable shorts i’ve ever used and I found myself wearing them leisurely many times. I highly recommend getting a set. These outdo all my other riding shorts and they’re built to last. I’ve had a good amount of time on these shorts in all sorts of conditions and they keep asking for more. Rain, mud, road rash, etc.

The Burst Jersey

The Burst jersey feels very Gucci and almost feels too good to be a cycling shirt. Brad used some cutting edge material called chiosante that Sombrio also uses now on some of the upper level jerseys. it’s very light, doesn’t pill, wicks well, doesn’t absorb odors, and its a really nice riding shirt that feels great.

The Company Tree Tee

This shirt is really nice and simple. I like the designs used and simplicity behind a lot of his work. The shirt is only $13 and is very durable. It’s a lightweight full cotton jersey but is built on a Hanes Heavyweight T-Shirt. He also does custom work if you’re looking to get a custom jersey for your team, club, or shop.
