Specialized Lo Pro Mag II Platform Pedals Preview

There’s a lot of nice things to note on these pedals. These pedals have been around for a little while and are now updated.
These pedals come on some of Specialized’s top bikes (Demo 8 and more)

- Cost: $75.00
- Lightweight: 501g
- Thin (more clearance, better control)
- Lightweight magnesium body
- Concave to allow better traction and a solid powdercoat finish
- Adjustable pins. You can remove pins to gain more traction per pin (more load is distributed over less pins), or you can lower pins(and place washers underneath) to adjust the amount each pin protrudes to tailor the pins even more.
- Allen head on reverse side to remove any bent pints with ease.
- Oversized Cro-mo axle and adjustable spin resistance. 4-bearing design includes 2 cartridge, 1 needle and 1 bushing
We’ll talk more about this pedal more once we get some more time on it but we thought we’d share a little bit about it now to give you a little warmup in case you were looking for a set of new pedals and were considering these and wanted some more information on them.
There’s been a few cases that have had issues with previous versions of these pedals (some bushing play developing, and overall pedal spindle play developing) but this version should have fixed that with a bigger c-clip and a few other tidbits that should hopefully keep these rolling smooth.
One of the best things with Specialized though is that if you do have a problem, or if any of their products are of fault, they’ll take care of you like one of the family.
