Tioga Bead Wax
Wednesday, February 14th, 2007If you’ve ever felt the splendor that is putting on a DH tire onto a rim, you know where this is going. There’s a few methods to get the stiff beaded tires onto rims, and some are easier than others. For the ones that are hard to put on, there’s an alternative to using the soap / water method.

Tigoa makes this stuff called bead wax and it works pretty well so if you’re looking for a product that helps to get DH tires (or any hard tire) onto a rim, check out Tioga Bead Wax. It isn’t very expensive, costs ~ $7USD, and comes with an applicator sponge (not pictured) to assist in applying the wax. Contact dropnzone, or redbarnbikes if you want some of this stuff.
