Project Avid Code + Avid Ultimate begins
Wednesday, February 14th, 2007Avid Codes have just came out and they’re amazing brakes. Trying to taylor them to a more downhill-race environment, I’ve mated Avid Ultimate levers with the Avid Code caliper and Straitline brake levers instead of the carbon fiber levers that come with the Ultimates.
It has yielded a very nice final product that is as light as a Juicy 7 but maintaining the Code’s 4 piston downhill power and no carbon! more later…
Anyone else want some? I might make a few if you’re nice!
Note:Â The next generation Straitline avid levers (like the ones pictured here) will be shipped with ultimate adapter bushings.

Because the Straitline levers are much better. Once you try some you’ll understand.
