Wednesday, December 13th, 2006If you’re looking for a sweet short stem, the Straitline Stem might be the answer for ya. Vertical wedge clamp design, accepts a 25.4mm bar, beautifully machine with excellent tolerances.
This stem is not like any you’ve seen before. Instead of using the typical pinch bolt style clamp to attach your stem to the steerer tube, Straitline has introduced a wedge style stem that is not only more secure but a quite innovative yet a very primitive method that effectively works better.  If you’re running a 25.4 bar, check it out. The complete weight is a little bit porky, and the price is up there, but you get what you pay for.
