Review: 2006 Marin Quake AL-7
Marin isn’t a very prevalent company in the DH and FR scene. Up to this point they haven’t offered a real long travel bike ready to handle the rough stuff. Bike Magic was relatively impressed with their latest offering, giving many accolades to the suspension and its pedaling ability. Marin outfits the Quake with a FR/DH/Trail component groupo making it a versatile rig. Take a look at the review and see what you think.
“It’s all very impressively put together, and looks like it should take a hammering. The other interesting feature is the ability to adjust the geometry. Two holes in the lower shock mount allow either a ‘Pedal’ or ‘Alpine’ setting. We rode mostly in the lower Alpine mode, which places the BB 15mm lower and slackens the head angle to 65°.”
